Parents who don’t agree with a school district’s evaluation of their child often face an uphill battle. With the red tape, run-around and lack of certainty involved, it can be a stressful time. Our goal is to make the next step — an Independent Educational Evaluation — as stress-free and efficient as possible. We set out not only to investigate your communication concerns, but to validate them with the school district when we agree that they are causing a barrier to learning. Each child deserves to be truly advocated for, and we make it our business to make sure they are getting all the support they need. If you need specific information about obtaining an IEE, please check out page 5 of the parent rights packet:http://www.nccse.org/files/families/procedural-safeguards/State-Procedural-Safeguards_rv2016.pdf

After just two evaluation sessions with Ms. Himstreet, we found out more about our child, how she is wired, and how to really help her learn than any of her teachers from Kinder to 4th grade at her school had been able to grasp.
